Pre-Lab 9

Review again your experiment on ''THE 03: Converting Electrical into Heat '' or ''THE 02: Building Material''.  Then:

  1. Rewrite again the graph.
  2. Give the details. (Hint)
  3. Use good analysis & grammar
  4. Structure:
  • Paragraph 1 : General
  • Paragraph 2 : Detail
  • Paragraph 3 : Detail

Example :

The line graph compares the amount of money spent on buying books in Germany, France, Italy and Austria over a period of ten years between 1995 and 2005.

In 1995 Austria spent the ........... amount of money on books, while Italy and France spent about as ........... as each other. However, by 2001, the gap in spending between these two countries had widened and considerably ........... money was spent in France than In Italy.

As can be seen from the graph, the amount of money spent increased in all four countries but rose the most ........... in Austria. The period between 2000 and 2005 saw a ........... growth and in 2005 the Austrians spent ........... as much money as they did in 1995.

However, during this ten-year period, Germany remained the ........... spenders on book, with all three other countries spending much ........... on them.

Pre-Lab 6

Still the same as before,

"Please make an essay about real phenomenon relate to your experiment. Write it, in 1 page of A4"

During this weekend, please submit all your work (cek-list,short report, formal report). I am going to review again, then put it as your midterm score.

Best regard,
Epri

Pre Lab 4

This pre-lab is purposed for group who will do the new experiment in week 5.

The pre-lab for all topic of experiment is :

Please  find the latest research relate to your experimemt. Then, make it into an essay (including the equation/formula) in 1 page of A4. Don't literally copy paste. Make it into your own words.

You can find the material from :
- Science Daily (https://www.sciencedaily.com/)
- IEEE journal (http://ieeexplore.ieee.org/Xplore/home.jsp)
- American Physics Society (http://journals.aps.org) or (http://physics.aps.org/), (https://www.aps.org/)
- Nature Magazine (http://www.nature.com)

Don't forget to put :
- Title of research
- Date, when it published
- the writer

Each student must have different material / resource for the essay.

For example, if you will do the Building Experiment, you make an essay about building experiment. For group who do not have a chance to do an experiment in week 4, you don't have to make this essay.

Please arrange the experiment with your friend, so that there is no group who do the same experiment in the same class / time.

If you have question, ask me through email : epriwahyupratiwi@gmail.com

Electricity Experiment

In this topic, your group will have 3 experiments. These are:

1. ELE 01-01. Determining the capacitance of a plate capacitor - Measuring the charge with the electrometer amplifier

This relationship is investigated using a demount-able capacitor assembly with variable geometry. Capacitor plates with the areas A = 40 cm2 and A = 80 cm2 can be used, as well as various plate-type dielectrics. The distance can be varied in steps of one millimeter.

2. ELE 02-01 Measuring current and voltage on resistors connected in parallel and series
The experiment ELE 02-01 examines the validity of Kirchhoff’s laws in circuits with resistors connected in parallel and in series. The result demonstrates that two resistors connected in series have a total resistance R
while for parallel connection of resistors, the total resistance R is

3. ELE 02-02 Voltage division with a potentiometer
In the experiment  ELE 02-02, a potentiometer is used as a voltage divider in order to tap a lower voltage component U1 from a voltage U. U is present at the total resistance of the potentiometer. In a no-load, zero-current state, the voltage component

can be tapped at the variable component resistor R1. The relationship between U1 and R1 at the potentiometer under load is no longer linear.
